33 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 08.11.2017 News from Jinja MTP News Many of you will already know that Dr McNerney, Mrs Steed, Mr Westacott, Mrs Hall and I visited Uganda in the summer holiday to support the work of the Jinja Educational Trust. We had a very successful trip during which we were able to revisit JET projects from last year to review the progress that has been made as well as plan and implement Teacher Training sessions. Many of you were kind enough to donate school shoes for the children in the schools and bras for the ‘Aunties’ who care for the children in the orphanages, which we took with us on our trip. I do hope that these photographs will give you a flavour of the sheer joy and delight with which they were received. The Aunties treated us to dances of thanks and parents from the school travelled in especially to thank the Headmaster for the shoes their children had been given. We are continuing to collect both school shoes and bras and I will gladly receive any more that you may have at home. Please bring donations to the Pre-Prep. Thank you so much for your support.
