3 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 22.06.2018 This half term began with Pre-Prep Sports and the boys enjoyed a fantastic day led by Mr Todd and his team. I am sure you will enjoy the photographs that follow which give a flavour of the fun! The boys were eager to take a risk and all persevered to complete the challenges in front of them! We were so proud of all they achieved and thank all of you for coming to support your children at this event. The boys at the Manor have been curious to find out all about Pirates this half term and last week thoroughly enjoyed a Pirate Adventure Day in and around our woods. After some ‘pirate training’ games the boys helped Captain Woodoaks on a mission to find the missing treasure. Year 1 and Year 2 also had a wonderful day at the Tower of London as part of their topic about Knights and Castles. The boys enjoyed workshops and exploring the castle grounds and on their return they were inspired to create dragon pictures and to research all about knights. Year 2 also spent the morning with Year 3 last week and had a great time doing different activities and finding out about life in Year 3. The morning helped Year 2 to look forward to Year 3 and see it as an exciting adventure and nothing to be worried about. Next Monday we also have a moving up session for the boys in Pre-Prep, Year 3 and Year 4 and on Tuesday we welcome the boys who will be joining Nursery in September for a visit. A reminder for Reception parents: on Monday 25h June at 8.45am, there is an information meeting about the boys’ move from the Manor to Merchant Taylors’ Prep. I look forward to seeing you then.
