28 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 17.05.2019 MTP Religious Studies Year 5 RS Visit There were many surprises for Y5 pupils when they visited St John’s URC in Northwood. For example, in the newly- refurbished nave, instead of traditional pews, chairs are arranged in a semicircle around the Communion table. The Reverend James Fields (chaplain at MTS) explained to the boys that St John’s is a ‘non-conformist’ Christian denomination: this means that decisions are made by the parishioners.
