32 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 21.06.2019 Year 6 Visit MTP News fromPre-Prep This was an excellent visit where we visited Mont St-Michel which is the third most visited place in France, Château de la Baudonnière where the boys took part in fencing and orienteering, and La Tapisserie de Bayeux which depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England and culminating in the Battle of Hastings. Finally, we visited one of the American cemeteries that remind us of the landing points that started the Allied invasion of Western Europe during World War II. Throughout the visit the boys had plenty of opportunity to practise their French by buying items from a market and other snacks. It was a memorable experience for everyone. Celebration time!
