40 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 15.11.2019 MTP Speech andDrama Trestle Theatre Company’s ‘Rachel’ On Thursday 7th November, Trestle Theatre Company and Small Nose Productions brought their touring production of ‘Rachel’ to our Lalani New Barn Theatre. This powerful mask theatre production portrayed the remarkable life of Holocaust Survivor, Rachel Levy, and her resilient struggle for life against all hope. The performance was attended by pupils from Beechwood Park School in Markyate and St Peters’ School in Rickmansworth, as well as our own Year 7 and 8 boys. MTP pupils then spent the afternoon exploring themes from the show in post-production workshops led by professional actors from the company. It all made for a truly moving and inspirational day of Drama in The Lalani New Barn Theatre. Mr Hinton Head of Speech and Drama
