4 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 23.10.2020 MTP Pre-Prep Welcome back everyone! We have had a wonderful start to the term and have been delighted to welcome some new faces to our Pre-Prep community. The boys have all settled in beautifully and are coping extremely well with the new and different routines and expectations of school life. I would like to thank all our parents for the very supportive role they have played in helping with this. In the last few weeks the boys at the Manor have been busy learning the routines of Nursery and Reception life and enjoying all the fun activities that they have to offer. Our topic for this term is called ‘Once upon a Time’ and the boys have been learning through a range of traditional tales. I think the photographs show how busy they have been. In Year 1 and Year 2 the boys are learning through a topic called ‘Yum Yum!’ As part of this the boys enjoyed finding out about how bees make honey, being creative to make bees and tasting a variety of honey from all over the world. They have also been exploring our beautiful school grounds and were delighted to find some late blackberries to pick as well as a bumper crop of apples which they used to make juice. Year 2 also made delicious apple crumble which we hope the boys shared with you at home! Mrs Funnell Head of Pre-Prep Pre-Prep Nursery And that was the end of the big bad wolf!
