35 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 16.12.2021 MTP Maths In November, boys in Years 4, 5 and 6 competed in the Primary Maths Challenge. This was a multiple choice problem solving quiz consisting of 25 questions. The boys did really well and were awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates based on their achievements. Although the challenge is aimed at boys in Year 6, there were certificates given out in all year groups. I was particularly impressed with the boys in Year 4 and 5 who managed to achieve certificates on what was a tough challenge. We are hopeful that some of our gold certificate winners will have been selected to compete in the Bonus Round which takes place in February. We will find out who has qualified at the end of term.
