2 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 14.10.2022 Welcome from the Head Our Autumn Term has started really well, and it has been a pleasure to see all of the pupils settle into their new year groups, particularly all our new starters to the school. This edition of Crescunda contains so much information about the busy and interesting lives that we lead at school, from Italian Week to pupil-led assemblies, from visitors into school to reading avidly. We also celebrate the great achievements of our pupils against other schools or as part external competitions e.g. LAMDA and music exams, success in UNESCO Minecraft, as well as wins on the sports field. I am particularly proud of our ‘Green Flag’ award, which last year’s pupil-led Eco Committee worked very hard to achieve through various sustainable projects at school. This year’s Eco Committee are inspired to build on this work and want to help us make our school as efficient as we can with the resources we use. We recently had a hugely busy Open Morning, and interest in MTP from prospective families continues to be extremely high. Our Y8 Ambassadors, led by our School Captain and Vice-Captains, were brilliant at giving guided tours and helping to market our school in the best possible way.
