35 Merchant Taylors’ Prep School Newsletter - 09.02.2023 MTP Music On Thursday 15th December 2022, we held our annual Carol Service in the Oliver Bangham Dining Hall. Like our Christmas Concert the week before, it was our first live Carol Service since 2019. The order of service included our four traditional, congregational hymns, as well as carols sung variously by Taylors’ Trebles, the Merchant Singers and Choristers. These musical items, which were accompanied by the Francis Terry Orchestra, were interspersed with readings by some of our Year 8 pupils. The Service was concluded with prayers led by Mr Waddington, Dr McNerney’s annual Christmas Address, and a congregational rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas. It was such a joy to be able to hold this important event once again and it was the perfect way to round off a fantastic term. Mr Stuart Director of Music Carol Service
