Merchant Taylors’ Prep takes a child-centred, whole-School approach to safeguarding and child protection.
This means that all members of staff, including Governors, support staff, teachers and volunteers, are responsible for the safeguarding and welfare of children they come into contact with, and they always act in the best interests of the child.
Safeguarding Policy
All policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children are updated in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024. Policies and procedures are reviewed and revised by the safeguarding team and approved by the governing body. Staff members understand their responsibilities under safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, are alert to the signs of child abuse and know to refer concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
