The European Day of Languages is celebrated on 26 September every year to highlight Europe’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote language learning at any age.
At Merchant Taylors Prep we celebrate the benefits of multilingualism by choosing a different European language every year and offering taster sessions in our language classes. This year boys had the opportunity to practise their Spanish and to learn a song.
As well as “taster” lessons in the classroom, the canteen offered the boys a “taster” of some foods from the wider Spanish speaking community…. such as fajitas, guacamole, and a salad with alcachofas.
