Writes Nicholas Stuart, Director of Music
In March this year, 11 boys sat graded Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. Preparation for these exams requires a great deal of effort and perseverance over a sustained period, and they are an excellent way for our boys to have their hard work formally recognised. Each exam comprises the performance of three pieces alongside a series of technical and musicianship tests, including scales and arpeggios, sight reading and aural skills.
The results of these exams are in, and it was my great pleasure to award certificates in assembly on Friday 1 May to the following boys for their achievements:
| Grade 1 | Grade 2 | Grade 4 | Grade 5 | Grade 6 |

We congratulate all of these boys on their success and are hugely proud of their achievements.
