Year 5 have been working on 3D printing designs using Tinkercad, and the brand new 3D printing machines in the Design Technology department.
The boys have enjoyed using the software to plan their ideas for a keyring and then see them translated into plastic.
Kaiyan H. of 5 Cranes said ‘I learnt how to design and draw 3D shapes and text’ and said that ‘I love how 3D printing design is almost like using a game to express your self through design, and you can create anything your heart desires.’
The boys have produced some amazing designs so far and are moving on to creating robots next. A massive thank you to the PSA who kindly provided the funds for the provision of these wonderful new machines.
