Year 6’s Water Sports Trip to Bray Lake

Writes Jack Denham, Sports

On Wednesday 24 June, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Bray Lake in Windsor, where they took part in a fantastic day of water sports. Coinciding with last week’s heatwave, the boys certainly made the most of the sunshine, spending much of the day cooling off as they rotated between four exciting activities: Stand Up Paddleboarding, Windsurfing, Sailing and Kayaking.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the boys embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating teamwork, resilience and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Whether they were balancing on paddleboards, learning the basics of windsurfing, steering a sailing boat or paddling across the lake in kayaks, there were smiles all round and plenty of memorable moments throughout the day.

The trip formed part of our Year 6 Leavers’ Activities programme, providing a well-deserved reward and celebration of what has been a fantastic final year at school. It was wonderful to see the boys enjoying each other’s company, building confidence and creating lasting memories before they move on to the next stage of their education.

A great time was had by all, and we would like to thank the staff at Bray Lake for such a fun and enjoyable experience. We look forward to visiting again next year.
