We held our first KS2 Celebration Assembly of the year on Friday 18 September, where certificates were awarded to celebrate how students demonstrate our ten learning skills: Concentration, Perseverance, Compassion, Collaboration, Communication, Independence, Curiosity, Risk Taking, Creativity, Evaluation.
The focus is entirely on recognising the effort, growth, and positive dispositions the children show in their learning.
Class teachers in Years 3 and 4, and specialist subject teachers in Years 5 and 6 will, each week, select a handful of students based on the effort and disposition they have shown in the past few days.
