Watford FC Easter Football Camp

Writes Jack Denham, Sports and Head of Livingstone

Our Easter Holiday Football Camp proved to be an unforgettable experience for all the boys who took part, combining high-quality coaching, exciting opportunities, and some truly special moments. Throughout the camp, the boys showed fantastic enthusiasm, developing their skills through fun and engaging training sessions. The energy and commitment on display each day were brilliant to see, with everyone improving their technique, teamwork, and confidence on the pitch.

A particular highlight of the week came over the Easter weekend, when many of the boys were given the incredible opportunity to attend a live match between Watford and Charlton Athletic. For one lucky pupil, the experience became even more extraordinary, he was invited onto the pitch at half-time to take a penalty in front of the crowd, which he confidently scored! It was a moment that will undoubtedly stay with him forever.

Back at camp, the excitement continued with special appearances from Watford mascot Harry the Hornet, as well as first team players Egil Selvik and Luca Kjerrumgaard. The boys relished the chance to meet professional footballers, play alongside them, and ask questions about life in the game. Their openness and encouragement made a lasting impression on everyone involved. Overall, the camp was a huge success, filled with memorable experiences, laughter, and a shared love of football. It is safe to say that this year’s Easter camp will live long in the memory of all who attended.
