Writes Miss Razzell, Reception Teacher
In Reception, we have continued our ‘Me and My World’ topic by taking a closer look at how the food we eat helps our bodies to grow, keeps us healthy and gives us the energy we need each day.

We have been learning about the different things our bodies get from food and exploring why these are important for us. We read Amy Gets Eaten by Adam Kay and worked together to create our very own life-sized diagram of the human body. We then each made a pretend stomach and had lots of fun discovering how our food is broken down and ‘mushed up’!

To finish our learning, the boys enjoyed getting creative by painting with a variety of different foods. We experimented with colours, textures and patterns before bringing our artwork together to create a bright and colourful rainbow display!
