Nursery and Reception Trip to Knebworth for a Storysaurus Stomp!

Writes Gemma Ladbury, Assistant Head (EYFS)

Over the past week, both Nursery and Reception classes enjoyed exciting trips to Knebworth, where they took part in the immersive “Storysaurus Stomp” experience. The visits began with a warm welcome from the guides, who introduced the children to the day through a lively storytelling session filled with songs, props, and movement. The children were immediately captivated, using their imaginations to step into a world of dinosaurs while developing their listening and communication skills. The guides were particularly impressed with the groups and took time to compliment the staff on the boys’ exemplary behaviour throughout the visit.

Throughout the day, the children explored the dinosaur trail in small groups, discovering a variety of life-sized models hidden among the gardens. They engaged enthusiastically in activities such as drawing and storytelling linked to the session. The experience also included time for outdoor play and a picnic lunch, allowing the children to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Both trips were a wonderful opportunity for hands-on learning, creativity, and teamwork, leaving the children with lasting memories and plenty of stories to share back at school.
